Eventually Mr.
Bartholomew retired and handed down the funeral
home and it’s traditions
to his son, Clair J. Bartholomew.
After
a short time, Clair J. decided
that it would be in
the best interest
of the funeral home and the families they served to
sell it to one
of his most trusted employees. In 1975, William J. Althenn acquired the establishment from Clair J. Following in the
footsteps of the Bartholomew’s, Bill continued to provide unprecedented
service and compassion to the families he served.
After many years
of helping out around the facility, Bill’s son Todd, came
on board as a
licensed funeral
director in 1986.
Today, Clair S. Bartholomew & Son, Inc. stands as a pillar
of service in
Bellmore
and the surrounding communities.
Our staff is duly trained and qualified
to provide
the families
we serve with outstanding dedication and service. If we
only
succeed
in one aspect of this business, we hope that it is
in easing the burden
of the death
of a loved one. |
